Experience - a musical journey of discovery around the Classic Malts of Scotland - Talisker, Glenkinchie, Cragganmore, Lagavulin, Oban and Dalwhinnie.
In the Summer of 2000, John Saich was commissioned to write six individual pieces of music for the Classic Malts, a collection of whiskies from Scotland's six distillery regions unique in taste and tradition. With the assistance of the distillery managers and staff, John took a journey across the country to find what makes each malt so special, and to translate some of those impressions into music. The tracks form a personal diary of the trip, brought to life with guest performances by three of Scotland's finest musicians, Brian McAlpine, Gavin Marwick and Rod Paul.
